On April 1st, Henderson City Police officers responded to 321 South Alves Street regarding a 4 year old child that was not breathing. Upon arrival, HPD Public Information Officer Jennifer Richmond says officers observed several injuries to the child and detectives were immediately requested. Det. Shannon Troutman responded to Methodist Hospital and stated that the child was severely beaten with bruises all over the child’s body. The child’s condition was not stable due to the injuries which included a brain bleed. The child was life-flighted to Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. The child’s father and his fiancée, Cheyenne Littlepage, were interviewed at the Henderson Police Department. Cheyenne Littlepage stated that she was extremely frustrated with the child who they stated is learning disabled. Cheyenne Littlepage admitted to “tossing” the child to the ground, dropping the child, and shoving the child more than once. The father was at work when police arrived at the home. Det. Troutman arrested Cheyenne Littlepage for Criminal Abuse 1st Degree – Child 12 or Under. She was lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.

Due to the age of the child, severity of the injuries, and the fact that the investigation is in its early stages, no further information will be released at this time.
