Heilman Avenue is back open the through traffic after being blocked for about an hour

due to a structure fire at a local manufacturer. Henderson City Fire crews made quick

work of the early morning fire at Allstate Tower. The initial call came in around 6 am CDT

when an employee reporting for work noticed smoke coming from a doorway and immediately

contacted 9-1-1 dispatch. City fire officials say a battery used for a small crane at the

shop had apparently caused the fire. The building sustained only minor smoke damage and there

were no injuries. The company was able to resume operations shortly after 7 am. Fire crews

from three city stations responded to the scene.
