Author and Screenwriter Michael Steele, will be visiting Henderson County Schools this week to speak to students. Mr. Steele, who is from Texas, has written for a wide variety of entertainment and educational properties from Barney & Friends to the novelization of the film, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. Heโ€™s written over 60 licensed books for such major properties as Shrek, Penguins of Madagascar, Wordgirl, The Batman, Garfield, Spider-man, Speed Racer, Winx Club, Sly Cooper, and many more. Anthonyโ€™s television experience begins with the award-winning PBS series Wishbone and carries him all the way to writing 25 episodes of Barney & Friends and 4 DVDs of Boz: The Green Bear Next Door.
His schedule is as follows:
Jefferson Elementary School – Monday, March 20 7:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
Bend Gate Elementary School – Monday, March 20 11:45 a.m. – 2:20 p.m.
Spottsville Elementary School – Tuesday, March 21 7:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
A.B. Chandler Elementary School – Tuesday, March 21 11:45 a.m. – 2:20 p.m.
