Grand Jury Completes Feburary Session

The Henderson County Grand Jury has indicted a 19-year old tri-county man on a charge of first degree robbery. 19-year old Travis Turner of Morganfield was one of 33 people handed true bills by the February session of the Henderson County Grand Jury. Turner is charged in connection with the December 11tharmed robbery of the Kangaroo convenience store on Gardenmile Road. Turner and 19-year old Shamel Roach were also indicted on first degree criminal mischief charges for allegedly breaking a window at Independence Bank on Zion Road and attempting to break into T & T Drug Store on Clay Street on December 23rd.

The investigative panel considered evidence in a total of 41 felony cases. Others indicted included John Trodglen charged with first degree sexual abuse involving a victim under the age of 12 and tampering with physical evidence and Stephen Buchanan who is charged with incest and unlawful transaction with a minor.

Before adjourning the grand jury dismissed the cases of three people, remandedtwo back to District court and referred one case to its March session.
