WASHINGTON – JT Payne, a Henderson, Kentucky native, recently completed an internship in Congressman Comer’s (KY-01) Washington, D.C. office. He worked alongside Congressman Comer and his staff this summer as an Agriculture Fellow from Murray State University.

“I greatly appreciate Congressman Comer for providing me this opportunity where I gained a firsthand perspective on the governing process. I sincerely hope I will be able to use what I have learned from this experience to eventually serve the community that has given so much to me. However, for now all Hendersonians can rest assured knowing that they are well represented in Washington D.C. by Congressman Comer,” said Payne.

JT is a Junior at Murray State, a Presidential Scholar and currently serves as the Murray State Student Government President.

“I want to personally thank JT for all of his hard work this summer. His leadership skills and work ethic are very impressive, especially at such a young age. From helping constituents or doing research, JT’s passion for agriculture and public service were easy to see on a daily basis. I wish JT the best of luck in the future,” Congressman Comer said.
