HENDERSON, Ky. — Murray State University President Dr. Bob Davies will be the keynote speaker at the Kyndle 2017 Celebration of Education Breakfast.

The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Henderson County Schools’ Professional Development Center at the Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center. The entrance is near the corner of Sixth and North Elm streets.

“We are very excited to have Dr. Davies speaking to our audience of educators and others from the community who are supportive of local education,” Kyndle CEO Tony Iriti said. “We look forward to hearing his remarks concerning the Henderson campus of Murray State at Henderson Community College. I’m sure many Murray State alumni will want to come to hear his remarks as well.”

Known for his student-centered philosophy, commitment to the community, unyielding advocacy for higher education and inclusive leadership style, Davies has served as the president of Murray State University since July 2014.

In addition to his keynote address, brief updates will be provided by:

Henderson County Schools Superintendent Marganna Stanley.

Holy Name School President Julie Eadens.

Henderson Community College President Dr. Kris Williams.

Also, the Kyndle 2017 Educator of the Year, Michelle Chappell of HCC, will be recognized.
