Niagara Elementary Hosts Science Expo Day Monday

Niagara Elementary is scheduled to have a Science Expo Day on Monday, February 11, 2013. This event is hosted by the Commonwealth Institute for Parent Leadership Fellows in cooperation with Niagara Elementary principal and teachers.

The focus of the event is to highlight the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum. Educational programs will be held throughout the day with the following activities/ guest speakers scheduled:


1.Chemistry magic show by Henderson Community College Chemistry Professor, Kara Becker

2.Science stations with demonstrations and experiments

3.Wayne Hart, Meteorologist with WEHT-TV

4.Susan Sauls with Tri-County Recycling Alliance

5.Scott Heath with Kenergy

6.Jeff Porter with University of Kentucky Extension Office

7.Darrel Pfingston, Energy Manager with Henderson County Schools

8.Rico Tyler, Western Kentucky University Master Teacher with SkyTeach

9.Brian Joy, Associate Professor at Henderson Community College

10. Jeff King with Pioneer Seed

11.Guest Speaker from Brenntag Mid-South
