KELLY BASIL HOOPER, 54, OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FORMERLY OF SMITH MILLS DIED MONDAY AT MERCY HEALTH-LOURDES HOSPITAL IN PADUCAH. HE WAS A METEOROLOGIST WITH THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FOR 30 YEARS AND SERVED AS AN INCIDENT METEOROLOGIST DISPATCHED TO WILDFIRES AND OTHER NATURAL DISASTERS. HE WAS DECORATED FOR MANY ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDING THE NATIONAL CLINE AWARD AND THE REGIONAL EXCELLENCE AWARD. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY AN INFANT BROTHER, CHRISTOPHER KEITH HOOPER.

RICK WESTERMAN, 65, OF UNIONTOWN DIED MONDAY AT DEACONESS GATEWAY HOSPITAL IN NEWBURGH. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY 3 BROTHERS, DAVID W., JOHN HENRY AND JERRY WAYNE WESTERMAN AND BY 4 SISTERS, MELVA LOU BECK, LINDA SUE SPRINGFIELD, JUNE MEADOWS AND THERESA WESTERMAN.

HE WORKED AS A BRANCH MANAGER FOR CONTINENTAL EMSCO IN OLNEY, ILLINOIS AND LATER FOR BANKHEAD ENTERPRISES/NORFOLK SOUTHERN IN ATLANTA. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE, SHERRI MESSEL DAVIS.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 11 AM SATURDAY AT BENTON GLUNT FUNERAL HOME, A LIFE CELEBRATION HOME.

THE REVEREND CONI BECK WILL OFFICIATE.

BURIAL WILL BE IN FAIRMONT CEMETERY.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO BUD’S LIFE CELEBRATION FROM 5 TO 8 PM FRIDAY AND FROM 9 AM TO SERVICE TIME SATURDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME FOR CHARLES HENRY “BUD” DAVIS, JR.
