EARNEST J. BROOKS, 80, OF CORYDON DIED THURSDAY AT HIS HOME. HE WAS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF ST. PAUL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH,

WHERE HE SERVED ON THE BUILDING FUND COMMITTEE. HE WORKED IN FARMING WITH CLARKS FARMS AND ALSO SERVED AS VICE PRESIDENT AND CARETAKER

OF UBF CEMETERY IN CORYDON. A U.S. ARMY VETERAN OF THE KOREAN WAR, HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE, BARBARA JEAN BROOKS, WHO DIED IN 1978;

BY 2 BROTHERS, TONY WAYNE BROOKS AND RICHARD LEE BROOKS AND 2 SISTERS, MARY RUTH WILLETT AND ONE AT BIRTH.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

2 SONS TERRY NEIL DIXON, SR. OF HENDERSON
AND ERNEST BROOKS OF CORYDON

1 DAUGHTER CAROLYN DIXON OF CORYDON

2 BROTHERS JOE NEIL BROOKS AND CHARLES W. BROOKS, BOTH OF CORYDON

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 1 PM THURSDAY AT ST. PAUL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH.

ELDER JAMES PHILLIP EVERHART WILL OFFICIATE.

BURIAL WILL BE IN THE UBF CEMETERY WITH MILITARY RITES PERFORMED BY THE 101ST AIRBORNE DIVISION

OF FORT CAMPBELL AND THE AMERICAN LEGION WORSHAM POST NO. 40.

FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 11 AM TO SERVICE TIME THURSDAY AT THE CHURCH.

ELLIOTT MORTUARY IN MADISONVILLE IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS FOR EARNEST J. BROOKS.

WILLIE “HAZEL” ALDERSON MOSER, 90, OF HENDERSON DIED FRIDAY AT REDBANKS NURSING HOME.

SHE HAD WORKED AS A LUNCHROOM LADY AT NORTH MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR 20 YEARS. A KENTUCKY COLONEL,

SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, THOMAS ALDERSON AND BY 3 BROTHERS, EARL SPENCER,

MARION SPENCER AND ERNEST SPENCER.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

1 DAUGHTER TINA BELCHER OF HENDERSON

1 GRANDSON, NIECES AND NEPHEWS
