William T. “Bill” Denton, 87, of Robards

Died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Redbanks Nursing Home.

A member of Robards United Methodist Church, he retired from Alcan Aluminum in 1996.

Survivors include:

His wife of 56 years, Hallie Poole Denton

One Son, David Denton of Robards

One Daughter, Laura Logsdon of Robards

Five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 at Tapp Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home

Brother Rick Nollman will officiate

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens

Family and friends are invited to Bill’s Life Celebration from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home

Thelma Rose Askins Becker, 98, of Henderson

Died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at The Lucy Smith King Care Center.

She sang in choirs in her hometown as well as at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.  She had worked as a cook at Henderson County High School as well as being a waitress at several restaurants in Evansville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Becker, Jr., who died in 1996 and by two sisters, Carolyn Askins and Jo Ann Askins Stone.

Survivors include:

Four sons, Jon Becker, Dan Becker, Mike Becker and Steve Becker

Grandchildren, great grandchildren and two nieces

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Rudy Rowland Funeral Home

The Reverend Mike Snyder will officiate

Private family burial will be in Hill Grove Cemetery in Miamisburg, Ohio

Friends may call from noon to service time Saturday at the funeral home

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice

Thomas F. Stone, 76, of Robards

Died Saturday, November 16, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

An ordained minister, he was the Associate Pastor at Robards Christian Church.  He was also a volunteer chaplain at the Henderson County Detention Center.

Survivors include:

Several cousins

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel

The Reverend Amy Cates will officiate

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home

Jimmie J. Young, 76, of Henderson

Died Monday, November 18, 2019 at his home.

He retired from Bristol Myers Squibb, where he worked in Pharmaceutical Production.  He was a member of the Sterling Men’s Club and the American Legion Otis Stone Post No. 354. He was also a military veteran.

Survivors include:

Two children, Demetrick Jerome Young of Buffalo, New York and Laketta Yvonne Young of Atlanta, Georgia

One Sister, Eunice Young

One Brother, Charlie Young

Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Greater Norris Chapel Baptist Church

Burial will be Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville

Janie Mae Gardner Dotlich, 81, of Calvert City, Kentucky, formerly of Webster County

Died Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Calvert City Convalescent Center.  A member of the Baptist faith, she graduated from Dixon High School.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Dotlich, who died in 2017.

Survivors include:

Five Daughters, Glenda Lewis of Valparaiso, Indiana; Janie Lazaro of Portage, Indiana; Jeri Shelton of Calvert City, Kentucky; Cheryl Parker of Norwalk, Ohio and Robin Collins of Evansville

One Son, Bob Dotlich of Sperry, Oklahoma

One Sister, Ann Gardner Howell of Madisonville

One Brother, Champie Gardner of Providence

18 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews

Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon

The Reverend Donald Duncan will officiate

Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home
