LUTHER FRANKLIN DUNCAN, JR. 87 OF HENDERSON
DIED TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3, 2019 AT METHODIST HEALTH UNION COUNTY. A U.S. NAVY VETERAN, HE WORKED FOR ROYAL CROWN BOTTLING COMPANY AS SALES MANAGER UNTIL HE RETIRED. HE SERVED AS PRESIDENT OF THE HENDERSON COUNTY FAIR, HENDERSON PEE-WEE LEAGUE, THE KENTUCKY BOTTLERS ASSOCIATION AND THE HENDERSON JAYCEES, WHERE HE RECEIVED THE DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD. A MEMBER OF FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, HE ALSO SERVED ON THE HENDERSON HOUSING AUTHORITY FROM 1980 UNTIL 2014 AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE HENDERSON COUNTY ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB FOR OVER 40 YEARS. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY 6 SIBLINGS, ALMA DEAN McATEE, BETTY LOU DUNCAN, JUANITA HARRIS, SUE PARISH, MARLIN DUNCAN AND LYNDA BRADLEY.

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 11 AM FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2019 AT BENTON GLUNT FUNERAL HOME, A LIFE CELEBRATION HOME
THE REVERENDS JIM WOFFORD, CINDY GREEN AND DAVID LATHAM WILL OFFICIATE
BURIAL WILL BE IN FAIRMONT CEMETERY
