“As we start developing a new five year strategic plan, I believe it is now the best
time for our board to select a new leader that will carry that work forward.
Contributing to the district over the past six years as the Superintendent has been
rewarding both personally and professionally. I am humbled and grateful for a
30-year career in the Henderson County Schools.
I wish the board the very best as they begin a search for a new superintendent. I
am committed to a smooth transition and will continue working with the board to
ensure that.

I want to thank our school board members for their trust, leadership, and support.
Many, many people have helped me, coached me, and empowered me. That
support has allowed me to lead collaboratively and serve our students, staff, and
community with integrity and excellence. My heart and soul are filled with pride and
my hope is that the Henderson County Schools thrive to continue to expand
horizons for our students.”

Her retirement will be effective on June 30, 2020.
