JANICE MAISH         81       OF HENDERSON

DIED SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2020 AT REDBANKS NURSING HOME.  SHE ATTENDED SUSAN B. ALLEN SCHOOL OF NURSING IN 1959.  SHE BEGAN HER 38-YEAR CAREER AT THE EVANSVILLE STATE HOSPITAL BEFORE TRANSFERRING TO METHODIST HOSPITAL AS A REGISTERED NURSE.  SHE WORKED IN SEVERAL DIFFERENT UNITS AND WAS THE FIRST R.N. TO WORK ON THE PSYCHIATRIC UNIT.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, OF 54 YEARS. TERRY MAISH.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

1 DAUGHTER           SHERRI HOGG-HAZELWOOD

1 SON            DAVID MAISH

1 SISTER        DIANA NEITZKE GARBERS OF VINCENNES, INDIANA

2 BROTHERS            DICK NEITZKE OF SALEM, INDIANA AND DEAN NEITZKE OF ARIZONA

3 GRANDCHILDREN, NIECES AND NEPHEWS

 

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 2 PM WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2020 AT BENTON GLUNT AND TAPP FUNERAL HOME, A LIFE CELEBRATION HOME

THE REVEREND TIM SHOCKLEY WILL OFFICIATE

BURIAL WILL BE IN ROSELAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS

FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO JANICE’S LIFE CELEBRATION FROM 5 TO 8 PM TUESDAY AND FROM NOON TO SERVICE TIME WEDNESDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME

DIED SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2020 AT THE LUCY SMITH KING CARE CENTER.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, DONALD G. “COUNTRY” SMITH, SR.
