MISSY VANDERPOOL SELECTED AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF HENDERSON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT


 

 

HENDERSON, Ky. – The Board of Directors of Henderson Economic Development is pleased to announce the selection of Missy Vanderpool as the new Executive Director.

Ms. Vanderpool will serve as the organization’s first leader.  “After a thorough and deliberate selection process, the Board of Directors is delighted that Missy will lead the new Henderson Economic Development,” said Tony Krampe, Board Chairman.

Ms. Vanderpool most recently held the position of Association Executive Director for the Henderson Audubon Board of Realtors for the past five years. Prior to that, Ms. Vanderpool spent six years as a REALTOR® with Century 21 Collier and Company.

Throughout her career, Ms. Vanderpool has demonstrated a passion for Henderson and the ability to build positive relationships in the community.  She has worked on numerous collaborations with community leaders and forged strong working relationships with leaders throughout the state.

Her background reflects extensive involvement in community volunteer activities, including: Downtown Henderson Partnership Executive Board, Chair of the Henderson Vision Committee, and memberships on the Downtown Master Plan Committee, the Economic Vitality Committee and the Junior Achievement Board of Directors.  She is also a Henderson Leadership Initiative Fellow.

Ms. Vanderpool holds an Associate of Science degree in Business Management from Henderson Community College. As a REALTOR®, she has earned her Certified Executive designation and as Executive Director for the Henderson Audubon Board of Realtors, is a Certified Professional Standards Administrator.  A Henderson County native, she and her husband, Matt, reside in Henderson with their two children.

“Missy will be a key asset as we navigate through the evolving and expanding needs for economic development in the Henderson region,” said Tony Krampe. “She is well regarded in our area and her experience and connections within the business community and within the state will help us achieve our goals and objectives for economic development.”
