JANIE MAE FAMBROUGH GARRETT      93       FORMERLY OF HENDERSON

DIED SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2020.  SHE HAD ATTENDED CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH YEARS AGO AND WORKED SEVERAL YEARS AS AN IN-HOME CAREGIVER IN THE HENDERSON AND EVANSVILLE AREA. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, WILLIAM HAROLD GARRETT WHO DIED IN 1984; BY A GRANDSON, JOSHUA CAPEHART AND BY SIBLINGS, MARGARET FAMBROUGH, WILLA MAE SAWYER, BILL FAMBROUGH, HOUSTON FAMBROUGH AND FRANK FAMBROUGH.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

6 DAUGHTERS         SUE HOWELL, BRENDA STEPHENS, FAY SISK, ROSA SHELTON,

                                    BEVERLY KAY GIBSON AND VICKI KOONCE

3 SONS          LESLIE GARRETT, DANNY GARRETT AND FLOYD GARRETT

21 GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, NIECES AND NEPHEWS

 

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 11 AM WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2020 AT BENTON GLUNT & TAPP FUNERAL HOME, A LIFE CELEBRATION HOME

THE REVEREND LINDA FAMBROUGH WILL OFFICIATE

BURIAL WILL BE IN ROSELAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS

FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO JANIE’S LIFE CELEBRATION FROM 4 TO 7 PM TUESDAY AND FROM 9 AM TO SERVICE TIME WEDNESDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME

DIED SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2020 AT HER HOME.  SHE WORKED WITH HER HUSBAND AT MIDWAY TOOL & DIE FOR 27 YEARS AS THE SHOP SECRETARY AND TREASURER.  SHE OWNED “THE WASHTUB” IN PROVIDENCE.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A GRANDSON, MICHAEL RAYMOND SWINDLE; A GREAT GRANDSON, BENTLEY JAMES GRIFFIN; BY 2 BROTHERS, WILLIAM McGRAW, JR. AND JOHNNY McGRAW AND BY A SISTER, VOLINE GIBBS.

HER HUSBAND OF 46 YEARS       HOSEA SMITH, JR.
