LISA CAROL STEVENS        65       OF HENDERSON

DIED FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2020 AT THE LUCY SMITH KING CARE CENTER.  A MEMBER OF AUDUBON BAPTIST CHURCH, SHE RECEIVED HER BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN NURSING FROM UNIVERSITY OF EVANSVILLE IN 1985 AND A MASTER’S IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION FROM MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY.  A REGISTERED NURSE SINCE 1976, SHE WORKED AT METHODIST HOSPITAL FOR 17 YEARS AND AT HENDERSON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FOR 12 YEARS, TEACHING HEALTH OCCUPATIONS.  A KENTUCKY COLONEL, SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE KENTUCKY EDUCATION ASSOCIATION, THE NATIONAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION, AND THE KENTUCKY RETIRED TEACHERS EDUCATION ASSOCIATION.

DIED SUNDAY, MARCH 8, 2020.  A 1943 GRADUATE OF SMITH MILLS HIGH SCHOOL, SHE WAS A LIFELONG MEMBER OF GENEVA BAPTIST CHURCH WHERE SHE TAUGHT A CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS YEARS AGO.  SHE WORKED FOR THE FIRESTONE STORE AND TRI-STATE PLASTIC MOLDING COMPANY BEFORE WORKING AT SIMON’S SHOES FOR OVER 30 YEARS AS THEIR BOOKKEEPER.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER COMPANION, AUSTIN OVERFIELD; BY HER SIBLINGS, INFANT, EVYLIN, THELMA GAINES, KATHERINE HOOPER, MARCELLA MAYS McGRAW, JAMES B. HOOPER AND ELIZABETH LITTLEPAGE.

ROSEMARY R. LOTTER      89       OF HENDERSON

DIED SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22ND AT THE LUCY SMITH KING CARE CENTER.  SHE GRADUATED FROM INDIANA STATE TEACHERS COLLEGE WITH A BACHELOR’S AND MASTER’S DEGREE IN MUSIC AND FROM UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-STOUT WITH A MASTERS DEGREE IN SPECIAL EDUCATION.  SHE USED THE SUZUKI TALENT EDUCATION TO TEACH PIANO AND VIOLIN.  SHE ALSO BECAME A REAL ESTATE AGENT WHILE LIVING IN ARIZONA.  SHE PLAYED THE PIANO, ORGAN AND VIOLIN AND WAS A CHURCH MUSICIAN AND CHOIR DIRECTOR FOR SEVERAL CHURCHES IN INDIANA, ILLINOIS, WISCONSIN, ARIZONA AND TEXAS.  SHE ALSO PLAYED IN ORCHESTRAS AND SYMPHONIES.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, RALPH GARRISON LOTTER; BY A SON, CARL LOTTER; A DAUGHTER, SARAH WISE AND BY 2 BROTHERS, EARL AND ERWIN ROE.
