BOBBY MAURICE LILES     85       OF CORYDON

DIED FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 2020 AT METHODIST HEALTH.  A 1953 GRADUATE OF CORYDON HIGH SCHOOL, HE WAS A U.S. ARMY VETERAN.  HE GRADUATED FROM DELTA STATE UNIVERSITY, WHERE HE RECEIVED A BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE IN EDUCATION.  HE ALSO EARNED A MASTERS DEGREE IN EDUCATION AND RANK I FROM WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY.  HE WAS A MATH TEACHER AT HENDERSON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL AND HENDERSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE.  A KENTUCKY COLONEL, HE RECEIVED THE HENDERSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE PRESIDENT’S AWARD IN 1996 AND WAS INDUCTED INTO THE HENDERSON COUNTY SPORTS HALL OF FAME IN 2002.  HE WAS A LONGTIME MEMBER OF HOLY NAME OF JESUS CATHOLIC CHURCH.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A SISTER, DOTTIE LILES DIXON.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

HIS WIFE OF 65 YEARS        SUE SAUER LILES

2 CHILDREN             DARRELL LILES AND MELANIE LILES HUMBERT, BOTH OF HENDERSON

3 GRANDCHILDREN, 2 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, NIECES, NEPHEWS AND COUSINS

BURIAL WILL BE IN ST. LOUIS CEMETERY

DIED FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 2020 AT HIS HOME.  HE WAS A RETIRED TIMBER CUTTER AND SKIDDER DRIVER FOR PECKENPAUGH LOGGING.  A MEMBER OF OLD DECKER CHURCH IN BUTLER COUNTY,  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY 4 SIBLINGS, REBECCA WILSON, ERVIN TURNER, MATTHEW TURNER AND ROGER TURNER.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

HIS WIFE OF 46 YEARS      CINDY TURNER

1 DAUGHTER           APRIL DUNCAN

FRED C. BROWN     80       OF HENDERSON

DIED FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 2020 AT NORTON WOMEN AND CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL IN LOUISVILLE.  HE GRADUATED FROM HOLY NAME HIGH SCHOOL AND RECEIVED HIS BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE FROM AUSTIN PEAY UNIVERSITY AND HIS MASTERS DEGREE IN VOCATIONAL EDUCATION ADMINISTRATION, FROM MURRAY STATE UNIVERSITY.  HE SERVED AS SAFETY SERVICE DIRECTOR FOR THE AMERICAN RED CROSS IN EVANSVILLE.  HE THEN WORKED FOR 33 YEARS AT THE EARLE C. CLEMENTS JOB CORPS IN MORGANFIELD, WHERE HE SERVED AS VOCATIONAL TRAINING MANAGER.  AFTER RETIREMENT, HE WORKED AT THE CHANEY HOUSE.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A BROTHER, HERMAN BROWN AND BY 2 SISTERS, MARY CATHERINE BROWN CRAWFORD AND DOROTHY ANN BROWN WATHEN.

HIS WIFE OF 54 YEARS      CLEO ACKERMAN BROWN

3 CHILDREN             SCOTT BROWN OF GERMANTOWN, TENNESSEE

                                      SUSAN BROWN BREITBART OF JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA AND

                                      MICHAEL BROWN OF LOUISVILLE

2 SISTERS      VIRGINIA DAVIDSON AND BETTY PRITCHETT

DIED SATURDAY, MARCH 21, 2020 AT HIS HOME.  RETIRED FROM KENTUCKY UTILITIES, HE WAS A U.S. ARMY VETERAN, A MEMBER OF BAILEY ONTON MASONIC LODGE NO. 538 AND THE AMERICAN LEGION POST NO. 140.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS FIRST WIFE, AGNES TAYLOR.
