MARGARET KATTERJOHN McCOLLOM            101     OF HENDERSON

DIED WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1, 2020.  A LIFELONG MEMBER OF FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, SHE WAS THE CHURCH’S OLDEST MEMBER.  SHE SERVED ON THE BOARDS OF HER CHURCH, THE RED CROSS, HENDERSON COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY AND HENDERSON CITY SCHOOL CORPORATION.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, CHARLES ROYDEN McCOLLOM, JR., BY A SISTER, JOSEPHINE KATTERJOHN STOKES FLETCHER AND A SON, GEORGE EDWIN McCOLLOM, II.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

3 CHILDREN             LIBBY SUTTON OF LOUISVILLE

                                      PATRICIA KIMBERLIN OF EVANSVILLE AND

                                      CHARLES ROYDEN McCOLLOM, III OF HENDERSON

9 GRANDCHILDREN, 18 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, 1 NIECE, NEPHEWS, A GREAT GRAND NIECE, GREAT GRAND NEPHEWS AND COUSINS

 

A SMALL FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT FAIRMONT CEMETERY

A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE WILL BE HELD AT A LATER DATE

RUDY ROWLAND FUNERAL HOME IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS

DANIEL KELLY “D.K.” COMER, SR.          83       OF DIXON

DIED TUESDAY, MARCH 31, 2020 AT BAPTIST HEALTH MADISONVILLE.  HE RETIRED FROM THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS IN 1973 AFTER WHICH HE WAS AN OVER-THE-ROAD AND SHORT-HAUL TRUCK DRIVER.  HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE MARINE CORPS DRILL INSTRUCTORS ASSOCIATION; THE D-A-V, AMVETS, THE AMERICAN LEGION, V-F-W, THE MASONIC LODGE AND THE MOOSE LODGE.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A GRANDSON, DANIEL KELLY “TREY” COMER, III; BY 4 SISTERS, JEAN MILLER, DIXIE HAVERTY, ICEALEE MILLER AND PEARL NUTT AND A BROTHER, WILLIM McKINLEY “KEN” COMER.

                                      DANIEL KELLY COMER, JR.,

                                      TINA JOHNSON AND

                                      MARK COMER

HIS COMPANION   BETTY BARNHOUSE

THERE WILL BE A MEMORIAL SERVICE AT BEAUFORT NATIONAL CEMETERY IN BEAUFORT, SOUTH CAROLINA, AT A LATER DATE
