DIED SUNDAY, APRIL 12, 2020 AT METHODIST HEALTH. A U.S. ARMY VETERAN, HE RETIRED FROM THE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT AT GAMCO AFTER 36 YEARS OF SERVICE. A MEMBER OF THE BAPTIST FAITH, HE COACHED YOUTH LEAGUE SPORTS FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE PCMA HALL OF FAME. HE WAS ALSO A MEMBER OF THE HENDERSON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL CHAIN GANG FOR MANY YEARS. A MEMBER OF THE GATHERING PLACE, HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A SISTER, LOIS WILLIAMS.

HE OWNED AND OPERATED SEVERAL RESTAURANTS THROUGH THE YEARS AND WAS THE CARETAKER OF MOFFIT LAKE AND RECREATION FOR MANY YEARS. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A SISTER, MARY BLACKSTON AND A STEPSON, DENNIS DUNCAN.
