JANICE CATES JOHNSTON           75       OF HENDERSON

DIED MONDAY, JULY 6, 2020 AT HER HOME.  SHE GRADUATED FROM KENTUCKY WESLEYAN COLLEGE WHERE SHE WAS PRESIDENT OF KAPPA DELTA SORORITY AND RECEIVED THE ORDER OF OAK AND IVY, WHICH IS KENTUCKY WESLEYAN’S HIGHEST HONOR PRESENTED ANNUALLY.  SHE TAUGHT FOR MORE THAN 40 YEARS IN THE HENDERSON COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM.  SHE WAS A MEMBER OF CAIRO UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.

HER HUSBAND        LAWRENCE

1 DAUGHTER           ANNE LOCKE CHAPMAN OF HENDERSON

1 SISTER        ANN TANNER

1 BROTHER              DONNIE CATES

3 GRANDCHILDREN, 2 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, NIECES AND NEPHEWS

 

THERE WILL BE NO SERVICE OR VISITATION

RUDY ROWLAND FUNERAL HOME IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS

DIED MONDAY, JULY 6, 2020 AT DEACONESS HENDERSON.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS SIBLINGS, JOHNNY, BRENDA AND JIMMY.

HIS WIFE OF 45 YEARS      BETTY BANKS

5 CHILDREN                  FRANKIE CHANDLER, DONALD CHANDLER, CHRISTA BANKS,

                                           AMANDA PAVAN AND BRIAN BANKS

BURIAL WILL BE IN ROSELAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS

DELLA JEAN POSEY HAMM          57       OF HENDERSON

DIED THURSDAY, JULY 2, 2020 AT HER HOME.  A GRADUATE OF HENDERSON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL, SHE RECEIVED HER ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN SOCIAL SERVICES IN 1982.  SHE WORKED AT DICK’S FINER FOODS, KUSAN AND AT METHODIST HOSPITAL FOR 5 YEARS.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER DAUGHTER, JA’MEIA HAMM PETTUS; BY 4 BROTHERS, GEORGE POSEY, RUBEN WILSON, WALTER GAINES, TOM GAINES AND BY A SISTER, FLOSSIE GAINES.

 

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

HER HUSBAND        JIMMY LEE HAMM, SR.

HER SON       JIMMY LEE HAMM, JR.

3 SISTERS      RUBY WILSON AND LORETTA “ANN” POSEY, BOTH OF HENDERSON AND

                          DORIS WILLIAMS OF GEORGETOWN, KENTUCKY

2 GRANDSONS, NIECES, NEPHEWS, GREAT NIECES, GREAT NEPHEWS AND COUSINS

 

FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE 1 PM FRIDAY, JULY 10, 2020 AT ST. PAUL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH IN CORYDON

BURIAL WILL BE IN THE UBF CEMETERY IN CORYDON

FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 11 AM TO SERVICE TIME FRIDAY AT THE CHURCH

MASON BROTHERS AUDUBON CHAPEL IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS
