State Highway officials have announced that KY 1078 at the intersection with US highway 60 East has reopening to traffic after being closed back on July 7th. Kentucky 1078 was closed so that a contractor could address an underground mine shaft void on the west side of the Green River which is directly in the path of the new Spottsville bridge which will soon begin construction. The contractor was able to complete the work on Highway 1078 about two days sooner than had been projected.
