Henderson, KY (August 6, 2020) – All female lovers of the outdoors and trails are encouraged to come to Trail Sisters Henderson inaugural run Wednesday, August 12 at Audubon State Park welcome center at 5:45 pm. Group runs will be held weekly.
“I stumbled upon Trail Sisters when I was looking for places to run in Nashville. I loved the mission of the group so much, and I wondered where the closest local group was to home. Louisville, Lexington, and Nashville is too far, I thought I would take matters into my own hands and apply for Henderson and the Tri-state to have our own chapter,” said Lindsay Locasto, Trail Sisters Henderson group leader.
What is Trail Sisters?
Trail Sisters is a community started by Gina Lucrezi, with a mission to increase women’s participation and opportunity in trail running through inspiration, education, and empowerment. “I hope to bring the Trail Sisters philosophy to the tri-state area. All women are welcome, at any experience level, and no woman will be left behind. Beginners are encouraged to join,” said Locasto.
