DIED THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2020 AT THE WESTERN KENTUCKY VETERANS CENTER IN HANSON. A U.S. MARINE VETERAN OF WORLD WAR TWO, HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE FORMER DIXON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. HE OWNED AND OPERATED HIS FAMILY FARM FOR 73 YEARS. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE POOLE LIONS CLUB, WEBSTER COUNTY FARM BUREAU AND THE WEBSTER COUNTY 4-H COUNCIL. HE AND HIS WIFE RECEIVED THE 1992 FRIEND OF WEBSTER COUNTY 4-H AWARD. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A SON, GLENN STEWART WESTERMAN.

SHE WAS A VOLUNTEER IN MANY CHURCH AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND OF 60 YEARS, H. CHARLES “CHARLIE” SHADE, AN INFANT SON, MATTHEW SHADE, A GRANDDAUGHTER, CARRIE FARMER, 2 BROTHERS, FATHER WILLIAM McKUNE AND DON McKUNE AND BY 3 SISTERS, CATHERINE CAMPBELL, EVELYN MARIE McKUNE AND LaVERNE DOYLE.
