IMMEDIATE RELEASE| November 19, 2020 – Partnership of Women (also known as POW!) was honored to award the 2020 POW! Impact Grant Recipient on Saturday via Facebook Live. POW! members were able to watch video presentations from the three finalists and vote virtually last week for the 2020 Impact Grant Awards. “We are honored to provide the funding every year, especially this year, which has provided such a hardship on nonprofits,” Cyndee Burton, POW! Co-Chair stated.
The 2020 Impact! Grant of $15,000 was awarded to The Salvation Army. “This going to make such a huge impact on our organization and we are so grateful,” stated Crystal Carringer, Corps Officer with the Salvation Army. The other semi-finalists, Henderson County Humane Society and OVAL/Tourism Commission were each awarded $3,000.
