DIED TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2020 AT DEACONESS MIDTOWN HOSPITAL IN EVANSVILLE. HE WORKED AT SOUTHERN STATES COOPERATIVE AS A FORKLIFT OPERATOR AND THEN SEED CLEANING FOREMAN BEFORE MOVING TO HENDERSON TO MANAGE THE WAREHOUSE AND SEED CLEANING OPERATION IN SOUTHERN KENTUCKY. HE THEN MOVED TO NORTH CAROLINA TO ESTABLISH THE FIRST WHOLESALE WAREHOUSE FOR THAT STATE FOR SOUTHERN STATES COOPERATIVE. WHILE IN NORTH CAROLINA, HE SERVED ON THE TOWN BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR 8 YEARS.

HE WAS EMPLOYED BY THE KENTUCKY STATE POLICE AS A DISPATCHER AND WAS A COUNSELOR AT TROOPER ISLAND. HE WAS A MEMBER OF ADVANCE BAPTIST CHURCH IN BASKETT.
