Victim of Fatal Weekend House Fire Identified

Authorities have identified the victim of a weekend fatal house fire in rural Henderson County.

Henderson County Coroner Bruce Farmer says 67-year-old Susan Givens died in the fire that was called

Just before 11 AM Saturday on Pritchett Crooks road. Authorities say she was the sole occupant of the

home.  According to a social media post, Kenergy mourned the loss of Givens who has served on the

Kenergy Board of Directors since December 2015 representing District 4. The cause of the fire remains

under investigation. Units from the Niagara and Waverly Volunteer Fire Departments and the State Fire

Marshal’s office assisted the Corydon Fire Department at the scene.
