CITY TO RE-OPEN PORTION OF PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING



HENDERSON, Ky. – Following the re-opening of the Henderson Municipal Center on Monday, March 15, the City of Henderson is 

now preparing to re-open a portion of the Public Safety Building (informally known as the Peabody Building) to in-person 

traffic effective today, Monday, March 22nd.


The affected offices of the building located off Barret Boulevard include Codes Department, Henderson City-County Planning 

Commission, Human Rights and Henderson Emergency Management.


All have been closed to walk-in traffic since the City of Henderson declared a state of emergency on March 16, 2020.


Visitors entering the building will need to go through a temperature check station and wear a mask before proceeding and 

maintain social distancing while visiting.
