On behalf of the board and committee for the 2021 Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival, organizers say they are thrilled to announce the return of the festival in 2021 as they grant five local non-profit agencies with funds raised from the event., Festival Co-chair Susie Watkins says, “We are beyond grateful to our community, songwriters, and sponsors for their ongoing support. Despite having to cancel last year due to the pandemic, the support has pushed us forward and we cannot wait to have the songwriters back in Henderson to help us raise money for our 2021 grant recipients!”
The 2021 Sandy Lee Songwriters Festival grant recipients are:
- Cairo Elementary School
- Christian Community Outreach
- Cliff Hagan Boys and Girls Club of Henderson
- Imagination Library of Henderson
- Healing Reins of Kentucky
The festival organizers welcome everyone to join them in July as they welcome back over thirty award-winning songwriters to Downtown Henderson
to share the stories behind the hit songs heard on the radio.
