Beam movement begins after 8:00 a.m
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (May 8, 2021) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will begin beam placement for the Spottsville Bridge on Tuesday, May 11.
The contractor will reduce the bridge down to one lane with alternating traffic. Drivers should anticipate lengthy delays. The lane reduction will not begin until after 8:00 a.m. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes.
A flagging operation will be in place to facilitate beam movement to the new structure. There are 4 beams in all that remain to be moved. Once they begin moving the beams, the process will continue until it’s complete.
