The Henderson Water Utility is reporting considerable progress on the Marywood Drive Storm Main Repair Project. Officials say the main section of
54-inch storm pipe and storm inlets have been completed, along with a section of 8-inch Water Main. There is one section of 12-inch storm main
left to be installed and the utility says it plans to complete the installation by the end of day Wednesday.
Contractors will begin backfilling the areas with rock towards the end of this week. Paving of Marywood Drive and the adjacent driveways will begin
next Monday, weather permitting. Completion of the piping and paving is expected to take two weeks. In the meantime, Marywood Drive will remain
closed to through traffic in the area from Gum Street to US HWY 41 until August 20th.
HWU is thanking those that have needed to travel in the Marywood Drive area for their patience and cooperation during this extensive repair project.
