Repairs on US 60 postponed until Monday, November 8th
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 31, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) notifies the public of the postponed cross drain replacement for U.S. 60 in Henderson County. Equipment issues have slowed the process.
This effort has been postponed until Monday, Nov. 8.
U.S. 60 will be closed at the 21.8 mile marker on Nov. 8 and remain closed through Friday, Nov 12. This work site is in close proximity of the Spottsville Bridge. All traffic will be detoured via KY 811.
This effort will take longer to remedy due to the large-scale of the replacement part. The culvert is approximately 19′ in width and 40′ in length.
The work zone location is located at mile marker 21.8 near the Spottsville Bridge.
Message boards have been placed in Henderson near U.S. 41 and in Owensboro near the GRADD office alerting trucks to detour via the Audubon Parkway.
Motorists can take KY 811 to Mudd Road to U.S. 60. The detour for vehicles will be signed and is approximately a mile and a half in length. Trucks are encouraged to access the Audubon Parkway.
