DORSEY RIDLEY FILES TO RUN FOR HENDERSON COUNTY JUDGE EXECUTIVE


 

Henderson, KY. (January 3, 2022) – Former state senator Dorsey Ridley has filed to run for Henderson County Judge Executive. Ridley previously served in the Kentucky State Senate from 2004-2018 representing Henderson County.

Ridley is a local businessman and former president of Independence Bank. He most recently served in Frankfort as the Governor’s Executive Director of Emerging Industries. Joining Sen. Ridley in signing his filing papers were former Henderson Co. Sheriff Ed Brady and former school board member Jennifer Keach.

Ridley said, “After careful consideration and much encouragement from across the community, I’m proud to announce my candidacy for Judge Executive. Henderson Co. is my home and I know that, together, we can keep moving our community forward.”

He continued, “Having helped to secure the new Pratt Paper mill and passed legislation for the I-69 expansion, economic development and improved infrastructure will be top priorities for me if I’m elected as Judge Executive. I intend to run on my proven record of leadership, community accomplishments, and will deliver for Henderson County.”

Dorsey Ridley is married to Glenn Hodge Ridley and they have four adult children – Margaret, Martha, James, and Sarah. They also have two grandchildren and are members of the Henderson Presbyterian Church.
