DIED FRIDAY, JANUARY 21, 2022 AT HER HOME. RETIRED FROM THE GLEANER AFTER 27 YEARS OF SERVICE, SHE WAS A MEMBER OF CHAPEL HILL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH WHERE SHE SERVED AS SUNDAY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT FOR MANY YEARS AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH CHOIR. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER FIRST HUSBAND, WINDELL FRANCIS, BY A GRANDSON, JAMES DILLON SUGG, AND BY 2 SISTERS, VEVAH HARGROVE AND BESSIE LORRAINE TUCKER.
