Rotary Club of Henderson is proud to announce it will be awarding its annual Rotary Community Grants
at its noon meeting this Thursday. Henderson’s Rotary Club has been an active benefactor in the
community for more than 100 years and has been a funding partner in several major community
undertakings.
“Our club has given millions away since 1917,” President-Elect Alex Caudill shared recently. “During the
2020-2021 year, we gave out over $150,000 in COVID aid and other grant programs.”
Caudill highlighted some recent and past projects the Rotary Club of Henderson has supported, which
have included a $10,000 matching grant to create Gallery 101 and a $25,000 donation to the Boys and
Girls Club Capital Campaign for the Teen space. “St. Anthony’s Hospice…would not exist if it weren’t for
Rotarians being the initial catalyst long ago to start the organization.”
He also stated a $250,000 endowment started the Rotary Colonels 2 College, which has provided tuition grants for many
Henderson County High School graduates attending Henderson Community College.
The public is invited to join Henderson Rotary Club this Thursday at noon as they unveil their 2022
Rotary Community Grant winners. The meeting takes place in the Pittsburg Tank and Tower Event Suite
at Henderson County Public Library, 101 S Main Street in Henderson.
