HENDERSON, KY, June 10, 2022- World Changers, a group that has assisted locally in past years with exterior home repairs, maintenance and improvements
for eligible property owners, will be returning to Henderson next week.
The organization has not brought summer mission teams to Henderson since 2019 because of the pandemic.
This year, approximately 190 students and adults will be here volunteering from: Nashville, Tenn.; Decatur, Ala.; Villa Rica and Sylvester, Ga.;
Tullos and Ruston, La.; Wauchula, Fla.; and Forest and Basset, Va.
Their visit is coordinated through the City of Henderson's Community Development Office. After an opening celebration on Monday afternoon at
Hyland Baptist Church, their work will begin on Tuesday morning at approximately 17 sites.
The volunteers will be housed this year on Hyland Baptist's campus. In support of that, one block of Letcher Street adjacent to the church
between Young and Wright Street will be closed while the workers are in residence.
