MARY ANNA RIGDON             80                    OF HENDERSON

DIED THURSDAY, JULY 28TH, AT DEACONESS HOSPITAL.  AFTER 36 YEARS OF SERVICE, MARY RETIRED FROM THE HENDERSON COUNTY BUS GARAGE.  SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, RALPH RIGDON, HER SISTERS, LOLA WEST, LULA MAE HICKS AND CAROLYN DAVIS, AND A BROTHER, GOEBEL TILLERSON.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE:

HER DAUGHTER                      SHEILA MCCONNELL OF HENDERSON

HER SON                                  DAVID WAYNE RIGDON OF CORYDON

3 SISTERS                                 NANCY PATTERSON

A FUNERAL WILL BE HELD AT 10AM ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3RD, AT BENTON-GLUNT & TAPP FUNERAL HOME.

GARY SHOULDERS WILL OFFICIATE

ENTOMBMENT WILL FOLLOW IN THE FAIRMONT MAUSOLEUM

FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE INVITED TO MARY’S LIFE CELBRATION ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 2ND, FROM 5PM UNTIL 7PM AND AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3RD, FROM 9AM UNTIL SERVICE TIME AT THE FUNERAL HOME.

EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY MAY BE IN THE FORM OF CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE NEW HOPE ANIMAL RESCUE IN MARY’S MEMORY

RUFUS D. EBLEN, JR.               82                    OF HENDERSON

DIED SATURDAY, JULY 30TH, UNDER THE CARE OF HEART TO HEART HOSPICE IN EVANSVILLE.  HE ATTENDED WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY WHERE HE EARNED HIS RANK ONE DEGREE AND RETIRED FROM THE HENDERSON COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM AFTER MORE THAN 30 YEARS. AFTER HIS RETIREMENT, HE WENT ON TO TEACH ENGLISH PART TIME AT HENDERSON COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE. RUFUS WAS A LIFELONG MEMBER OF CAIRO UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.  HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY SISTERS, CAROLYN ROMAIN AND NANCY ROMAIN.

HIS SON                       PAUL EBLEN

THREE GRANDDAUGHTERS ALL OF HENDERSON

NIECES AND NEPHEWS

A FUNERAL WILL BE HELD AT 11AM ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 4TH, AT BENTON-GLUNT & TAPP FUNERAL HOME

REVEREND TOMMY EBLEN WILL OFFICIATE

BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT THE EBLEN FAMILY CEMETERY ON PRUITT-AGNEW ROAD IN HENDERSON.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND RUFUS’ LIFE CELEBRATION FROM 4PM TO 8PM ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3RD, AND AGAIN ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 4TH, FROM 9AM UNTIL THE SERVICE TIME AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
