DIED THURSDAY, JULY 28TH, AT DEACONESS HOSPITAL. AFTER 36 YEARS OF SERVICE, MARY RETIRED FROM THE HENDERSON COUNTY BUS GARAGE. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, RALPH RIGDON, HER SISTERS, LOLA WEST, LULA MAE HICKS AND CAROLYN DAVIS, AND A BROTHER, GOEBEL TILLERSON.

RUFUS D. EBLEN, JR. 82 OF HENDERSON
DIED SATURDAY, JULY 30TH, UNDER THE CARE OF HEART TO HEART HOSPICE IN EVANSVILLE. HE ATTENDED WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY WHERE HE EARNED HIS RANK ONE DEGREE AND RETIRED FROM THE HENDERSON COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM AFTER MORE THAN 30 YEARS. AFTER HIS RETIREMENT, HE WENT ON TO TEACH ENGLISH PART TIME AT HENDERSON COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE. RUFUS WAS A LIFELONG MEMBER OF CAIRO UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY SISTERS, CAROLYN ROMAIN AND NANCY ROMAIN.
