For Immediate Release

The 14th Biennial Kentucky National Wildlife Art (KNWA) Exhibition hosted by Ohio Valley Art
League in conjunction with the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources is now on
display at the Preston Arts Center on the Henderson County Community College campus.
This exhibit displays 59 works of art by 48 artists representing 14 states. In this exhibit you will
see paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and drawings depicting undomesticated mammals, birds,
fish, reptiles, amphibians and other aquatic life native to the United States including scenes
depicting hunting and fishing.

Thanks to our donors, the KNWA Awards Committee was able to raise nearly $17,000 in cash
awards for our artists- that is a record amount for OVAL!

The 2022 KNWA Juror, Marie McGhee- Arizona Sonora Desert Museum’s Director of the Art
Institute will be in Henderson this weekend, 9/16 – 9/19, to choose the award winners.

Sunday, September 18 at 5:30pm in the Stagg Room at the Preston Arts Center, McGhee will
lead a lecture on her jurying process and experience. This lecture is free and open to the public
and allows visitors an early opportunity to view the exhibit. Light refreshments will be available.

From September 18- October 1, OVAL will be offering a 30% discount on artworks. All proceeds
go directly to the artists. Following the opening, the artworks will go back to full price and the
30% commission will be split evenly between OVAL and the Preston Arts Center. Commission
from art sales helps OVAL and PAC to continue to bring arts to the community.

The Preston Arts Center is open Monday – Friday from 10am-3pm. The exhibit will be on display
October 1 – November 29.

If you are interested in purchasing an artwork, please contact Samantha Denson or Jule
