HENDERSON, KY (JAN. 13, 2023) – Henderson Economic Development has selected Kate McIndoo as the new director of marketing and communications.
McIndoo will serve as the organization’s leader in communicating with investors, partners and the community through various platforms.
“I am so excited to return home and start this journey with the HED team. Henderson is a growing community, and I can’t wait to tell others why I decided to plant my roots here. I am thankful for the board and staff for giving me this opportunity,” McIndoo said.
She graduated in December from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communications.
During her time in college, she was secretary of the College of Agriculture Ag Ambassadors, senior editor of Ag Hill Communications, lifestyle writer for The Auburn Plainsman, vice president of the Delta Delta chapter in Alpha Omicron Pi, and a member of the Auburn Christian Student Center.
McIndoo, a Henderson native, demonstrates passion for her hometown. She interned with HED during her summer and winter breaks in 2021 and returned for another summer in 2022.
“We are thrilled to have Kate join the HED family. During her time as our intern, she demonstrated passion, commitment and the skills needed for this role,” said Henderson Economic Development Executive Director Missy Vanderpool.
“An organization is only as good as its people. Our investors, partners, and community expect excellence. I’m thrilled with Kate’s addition to an outstanding team and excited about the talents she brings to HED,” said Board Chairman Dr. Jason Warren.
