Two people arrested after police seize 1,000 Fentanyl pills during traffic stop

Local authorities seized a 1,000 fentanyl pills during a traffic stop Tuesday.

Henderson Joint Task Force and Kentucky State Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Bradley Brewer, 51, of Evansville, on I-69 in Henderson on Tuesday. Brewer was traveling north from Madisonville.

Law enforcement officers said they located approximately 1,000 fentanyl pills and a large amount of cash inside the vehicle.

Brewer and his passenger, Dana Thomas, 40, of Henderson, were both arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to 28 grams of Fentanyl). Bonds were set at $50,000 each for Brewer and Thomas. Their first court appearance is set for Thursday.

Evansville Joint Task Force assisted with the investigation. They executed a search warrant on East Michigan Street in Evansville, which resulted in the seizure of a large amount of marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl pills.

Madisonville-Hopkinsville Vice Narcotics Unit also assisted in the investigation.
