The Rotary Club’s District Nominating Committee has selected Dorsey Ridley to serve as the Rotary Club’s District Governor in 2025-26. He assumes the role of District Governor Nominee Designate immediately.
Ridley first joined the Rotary Clube of Henderson in 2004. During his tenure as club president in 2017-18, the club celebrated its Centennial Year. To mark the occasion, the club attained a membership of 101, with 100 percent of the club recognized as Paul Harris Fellows.
Ridley achieved recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow + 2 and is one of the first Charter members of the District 6710 Polio Plus Society. He also served as a member of several District committees.
A small businessman and economic development professional, Ridley is the former executive director of emerging industries for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He served as Kentucky State Senator from 2004-2018 and has also served as regional business development director and as president of Independence Bank in Henderson.
Ridley is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he earned a degree in business and agriculture. A life-long resident of Western Kentucky, Ridley and his wife, Glenn Hodge Ridley, have four adult children. They have two granddaughters and are active members of the Henderson Presbyterian Church.
Rotary Club of Henderson meets at noon each Thursday in the Pittsburg Tank & Tower Room at the Henderson County Public Library.
