JUDY RICH RUST 76 OF HENDERSON
DIED TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7TH, AT COLONIAL ASSISTED SENIOR LIVING UNDER THE CARE OF ST. ANTHONY’S HOSPICE. SHE GRADUATED FROM HENDERSON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL AND ATTENDED WESTERN KENTUCKY UNIVERSITY AND HENDERSON COMMUNITY COLLEGE, WHERE SHE EARNED HER DEGREE IN NURSING. SHE WORKED AS THE NURSE MANAGER FOR THE HENDERSON METHODIST HOSPITAL GENERAL MEDICAL FLOOR, MEDICAL INTENSIVE CARE AND STEP-DOWN RECOVERY UNIT. JUDY WAS THE FIRST DIRECTOR OF A SPECIALIZED DISCHARGE PLANNING PROGRAM, WHICH SERVED AS THE FIRST PILOT PROGRAM IN WESTERN KENTUCKY. SHE RETIRED AS THE DIRECTOR OF CASE MANAGEMENT, AND SHE RECEIVED ACCOLADES SUCH AS NURSING ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR DISTRICT AWARD, LIFETIME WORKER AWARD AND SERVED AS ONE OF THE FIRST TEN FOUNDING MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE ST. ANTHONY’S HOSPICE OF HENDERSON. MRS. RUST IS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, GARY STEPHEN RUST.

A FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 2PM ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH, AT BENTON-GLUNT & TAPP FUNERAL HOME.
BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT ROSELAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS.
FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE INVITED TO JUDY’S LIFE CELEBRATION FROM 11AM UNTIL SERVICE TIME ON SATURDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
