HENDERSON, KY – (February 27, 2023) The Henderson, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its annual Agriculture Appreciation Breakfast at 7:30 Thursday. The event is presented by Kentucky Farm Bureau – James Runion Agency and Stephen Boyens Agency and will be held at the Lumber Yard Event Center in Henderson.
The annual sell-out event celebrates agriculture as a staple of our community and recognizes all those who support Henderson County through their work in the industry. As since 1994, we will also present one individual – a person who has devoted their life’s work to agriculture in Henderson – with the Chamber’s Agriculture Lifetime Achievement Award. “The Ag Appreciation breakfast is a time when producers, agricultural associations, corporations, the school system, local government, and the community at large across Henderson County gather to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by Henderson’s agriculture industry. It is a moment for fellowship and outreach. If you want to be a part of the celebration, or if you want to learn more about our thriving agribusiness sector in Henderson then please join us for the Ag Appreciation Breakfast,” states Chamber Ag Committee Chairwomen, Katy Groves.
Laura M. Knoth, Executive Director of the Kentucky Corn Growers and Kentucky Small Grain Growers Association Office, will join us as the keynote speaker “We are very excited to welcome Mrs. Knoth as our keynote speaker this year and hear about her work with the nearly 6,000 grain farmers across the commonwealth,” says Chamber president, Lindsay Locasto. Prior to her accenting her current position, Knoth served the Kentucky Farm Bureau for 18 years. As Director of Public Affairs Division, she supervised KFB’s public affairs activities, including state and national lobbying, policy development programs political education, natural resources, local affairs and commodity activities.
The Agriculture Appreciation Breakfast is open to all Chamber members and the public to attend with an RSVP.
