The Livingston Central Lady Cardinals faced off against the Christian County Lady Colonels in the first game of the night in the 2nd Region Tournament at Union County High School at Dr. Doug Hines Gym and Gerald Tabor Court in Morganfield.
In the opening period, both the Lady Cardinals and Lady Colonels scored 14 points each as a team heading into the second quarter. In the second period, the Lady Colonels would outscore the Lady Cardinals 13-3, as the Lady Colonels would have a 10 point lead at halftime with the score 27-17.
To begin the second half, the Lady Cardinals would outscore the Lady Colonels 17-13, as Lady Cardinal sophomore guard Maggie Downey scored 11 points in the quarter as the Lady Colonels would hold a 6 point lead with the score 40-34 heading into the fourth quarter. In the fourth and final period, the Lady Colonels would outscore the Lady Cardinals 21-13, as the Christian County Lady Colonels would get the 14 point win over the Livingston Central Lady Cardinals with the final score 61-47. The Lady Colonels improve their record to (16-13) while the Lady Cardinals end their season with a (12-19) record.
The leading scorer for the Lady Colonels was freshman guard Anaysia Bagwell with 20 points and 6 rebounds while recording 2 steals and shooting 6 for 9 from the free throw line on the night. Sophomore forward Lazarie Daniel scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds while recording 6 steals while senior guard Evanna McGregor tallied 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. Senior forward Sarah Harris contributed 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 blocks while sophomore guard Neveah Day recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds. Sophomore guard Amari Northington added 2 points and 5 rebounds while sophomore guard Debony Anderson scored 2 points and grabbed 6 rebounds while also recording 2 assists and 3 steals on the night.
As a team, the Lady Colonels were 1 for 15 (7%) from the three point line and shot 14 for 30 (47%) from the free throw line while grabbing 48 total rebounds and committing 15 turnovers on the night. The Lady Colonels also added 9 assists, 6 blocks, and 15 steals.
The leading scorer for the Lady Cardinals was sophomore guard Maggie Downey with 15 points and 3 rebounds while shooting 6 for 6 from the free throw line on the night. Sophomore guard Victoria Joiner contributed a double-double scoring 13 points and grabbing 14 rebounds while shooting 2 for 5 from the three point line and 3 for 4 from the free throw line. Freshman guard Aubrey Leahy tallied 8 points, 2 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists while 7th grade guard Taylor Leahy recorded 6 points and 2 rebounds. Sophomore guard Emersyn Ramage contributed 3 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals while sophomore forward Mikaela Holman added 2 points on the night.
As a team, the Lady Cardinals were 3 for 11 (27%) from the three point line and shot 12 for 18 (67%) from the free throw line while grabbing 32 total rebounds and committing 22 turnovers on the night. The Lady Cardinals also added 7 assists, 1 block, and 7 steals.

The Henderson County Lady Colonels faced off against the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons in the second game of the night in the 2nd Region Tournament at Union County High School at Dr. Doug Hines Gym and Gerald Tabor Court in Morganfield.
In the opening period, the Lady Colonels outscored the Lady Maroons 17-11, as Lady Colonel freshman forward Brooklyn Gibson and senior guard Mallorie Veal combined for 10 points in the quarter. In the second period, the Lady Colonels would outscore the Lady Maroons 15-7, as senior forward Jarie Thomas scored 9 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in the quarter as the Lady Colonels would have a 14 point lead at halftime with the score 32-18.
To begin the second half, the Lady Colonels and Lady Maroons would score 10 points each as the Lady Colonels would still hold a 14 point lead with the score 42-28 heading into the fourth quarter. In the fourth and final period, the Lady Maroons would outscore the Lady Colonels 16-14, but the Lady Colonels would hold on to win by 12 points over the Lady Maroons with the final score 56-44. The Lady Colonels improve to (24-4) on the season while the Lady Maroons end their season with a (19-12) record.
The leading scorer for the Lady Colonels was sophomore guard Shalyn Sprinkles with 16 points off the bench while recording 5 rebounds while shooting 2 for 4 from the three point line on the night. Senior forward Jarie Thomas contributed 13 points and 11 rebounds while recording 4 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. Senior guard Savannah Lacer scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds and recorded 3 assists while shooting 3 for 3 from the free throw line while sophomore forward Anna Kemp tallied 6 points and 2 rebounds. Senior guard Mallorie Veal recorded 5 points and 3 rebounds while freshman forward Brooklyn Gibson added 5 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. To round out the scoring for the Lady Colonels, senior guard Graci Risley contributed 4 points and 3 assists while shooting 4 for 4 from the free throw line on the night.
As a team, the Lady Colonels were 3 for 11 (27%) from the three point line and shot 15 for 22 (68%) from the free throw line while grabbing 31 total rebounds and committing 9 turnovers on the night. The Lady Colonels also added 14 assists, 4 blocks, and 7 steals.
Lady Colonel senior guard Savannah Lacer set a new record for career games played with her 153rd game played breaking the previous record that was held for 22 years by Brooke Fisher.
The leading scorer for the Lady Maroons was senior guard Amari Lovan with 13 points and 5 rebounds while shooting 5 for 6 from the free throw line on the night. Junior forward Destiny Whitsell contributed 11 points and 6 rebounds while sophomore guard Riley Sword scored 9 points and grabbed 3 rebounds along with 2 steals and shot 3 for 7 from the three point line. Sophomore guard Jaycee Noffsinger tallied 6 points and 5 rebounds while sophomore forward Bryanne Johnson added 5 points on the night.
As a team, the Lady Maroons were 3 for 15 (20%) from the three point line and shot 9 for 15 (60%) from the free throw line while grabbing 26 total rebounds and committing 12 turnovers on the night.
The Christian County Lady Colonels will take on the Henderson County Lady Colonels on Friday night, March 3rd, at 7:30 P.M. in Morganfield in the semi-finals of the 2nd Region Tournament.
