A Henderson woman was charged with criminal abuse in connection with an injury to a two-year-old child.
Henderson Police Department arrested Lyberti Steinmetz, 22, of Henderson, Tuesday on a warrant charging her with first-degree criminal abuse. Police said the charge stems from an injury of a two-year-old child that was reported on October 7 when the toddler was treated at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
Steinmetz was arrested and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. She is set to due in court at 10 a.m. Thursday.
