Frankfort, Ky.– Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced today that action taken by his Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control resulted in a guilty plea of Madison Hill, 23, of Central City for abuse of an adult.
An investigation by Attorney General Cameron’s office established that on June 19, 2021, Hill abused a vulnerable adult while working as a caretaker at Sparks Nursing Center.
On May 8, 2023, Hill appeared at the Muhlenberg Circuit Court and entered a guilty plea to the charge of Wanton Abuse of an Adult (Class D Felony). She will be placed on a three-year period of pretrial diversion and faces a one-year sentence if she does not successfully complete the period of diversion.
The case was investigated by Detective Jared Spurrier of the Attorney General’s Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control. Assistant Attorney General Emily Campbell prosecuted the case on behalf of the Commonwealth.
