HENDERSON, Ky. – The City of Henderson Board of Commissioners held their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday afternoon, May 9, 2023.
A public hearing was held for the Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant the City is applying for to upgrade Anthony Brooks Park.
The Board of Commissioners also:
-Approved a consent agenda with minutes from the April 18th called meeting and work session.
-Heard a resolution approving the application for the Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant
-Heard a resolution regarding acting City Clerk
-Heard a resolution adopting the 2024 Community Development Block Grant Action Plan
-Passed an ordinance amending electric rates and services schedules
-Passed an ordinance amending Chapter 7: Buildings and Building Regulations
-Passed an ordinance amending Chapter 14 relating to sanitation collection
-Approved a municipal order approving sanitation fee schedule
-Approved a municipal order awarding a bid for rollout containers to Schafer Waste
-The City Manager’s report included:
– Rezoning #1142 with a development plan- Barret Boulevard
– Presentation from Henderson Police Chief Sean McKinney about lateral pay incentives for newly hired officers
– Presentation by City Public Information Officer Holli Blanford about starting a City Junior
Ambassador Program in Henderson
The date for the next regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners is Tuesday, May 23rd at 3 p.m. It
will take place in the third-floor Assembly Room of the Henderson Municipal Center. A work session
will be to discuss the upcoming budget on Tuesday, May 16th at 1 p.m.
