ELVA L. SHOCKLEY 96 OF HENDERSON
DIED MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, AT REDBANKS NURSING HOME. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF FINLEY BAPTIST CHURCH AND SERVED ON THE WOMEN’S MISSIONARY UNIT, TAUGHT SUNDAY SCHOOL AND WAS THE DIRECTOR OF VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL FOR OVER 20 YEARS. ELVA WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, REVEREND RICHARD SHOCKLEY, DAUGHTER, BRENDA REYNOLDS, SON-IN-LAW, GEORGE REYNOLDS, BROTHERS, ALBERT TURNER AND RAYMOND TURNER, AND GREAT-GRANDSON, ALEX HARPOLE.

THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 11 AM ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22ND, AT BENTON-GLUNT & TAPP FUNERAL HOME
REVEREND TIM SHOCKLEY WILL OFFICIATE
BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT FAIRMONT CEMETERY
FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE INVITED TO ELVA’S LIFE CELEBRATION FROM 6PM UNTIL 8PM ON THURSDAY AND FROM 9AM UNTIL THE SERVICE TIME ON FRIDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
