JUANITA BENHAM BELLEW                      89                   OF HENDERSON

DIED SUNDAY OCTOBER 1ST, AT HER HOME UNDER THE CARE OF ST. ANTHONY’S HOSPICE.  JUANITA WORKED MANY YEARS AS A BOOKKEEPER.  AFTER HER RETIREMENT, SHE LOVED TO TRAVEL WITH HER SISTER AND HUSBAND ON TRIPS THROUGH THE GATHERING PLACE. JUANITA WAS A FAITHFUL MEMBER OF IMMANUEL BAPTIST TEMPLE AND HENDERSON’S FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH. SHE SPENT MANY YEARS AS A SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER, TEACHING BOTH YOUTH AND ADULT CLASSES. HER CARING HEART LED HER TO BE INVOLVED IN MANY CHURCH OUTREACH ACTIVITIES HELPING THOSE IN NEED.  JUANITA WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND,  THOMAS (TOMMY) BELLEW AND SISTER, DOROTHY ORR.

THE FUNERAL WILL BE HELD AT 12PM ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5TH, AT BENTON-GLUNT & TAPP FUNERAL HOME.

BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT ROSELAWN MEMORIAL GARDENS

DIED ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH, IN HER HOME UNDER CARE OF ST ANTHONY’S HOSPICE. SHE WAS A LONG-TIME MEMBER OF IMMANUEL BAPTIST TEMPLE, SERVING AS SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER AND ON THE BEREAVEMENT COMMITTEE.  SHE SANG IN THE  SENIOR CHOIR AND ENJOYED THE FELLOWSHIP AT TRIPLE L. SENIOR GROUP.  ELIZABETH WORKED AT THE FORMER HENDERSON CLINIC IN THE BILLING DEPARTMENT. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, BENJAMIN LEE JOHNSON, AND A DAUGHTER, BEVERLY  JOHNSON.

HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE, MILDRED “SISSIE” BRACK, HIS BROTHERS, MARVIN BRACK, BILL BRACK, AND PAUL BRACK, AND SISTERS, DOROTHY BRACK, VICKIE POSEY, AND PAULINE THOMPSON.

DIED SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2023, AT BAPTIST MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI. TRAVIS WAS A MEMBER OF FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN NEWBURGH, INDIANA.  TRAVIS WAS A FINANCIAL ANALYST AT COUNTRYMARK OIL COMPANY IN MT. VERNON, INDIANA.  HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE JERUSALEM MASONIC LODGE NO. 9 IN HENDERSON, KENTUCKY.  TRAVIS ATTENDED HENDERSON COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL, THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE AND UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN INDIANA.  HE OBTAINED TWO BACHELOR’S DEGREES AND A MASTERS DEGREE IN FINANCE, ACCOUNTING, AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. TRAVIS WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PATERNAL GRANDFATHER, BILL BROOKS, AND HIS MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, WILMA MURPHY.

VISITATION WILL BE FROM 3PM TO 7PM WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 4TH, AND AGAIN FROM 9AM UNTIL SERVICE TIME ON THURSDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.

MASONIC SERVICES WILL BE AT 6:30PM WEDNESDAY. FOLLOWING THE BURIAL, THERE WILL BE A BEREAVEMENT DINNER AT THE LUMBERYARD EVENT CENTER, SUITE B.
