LOUISVILLE,KY-The League of Women Voters of Kentucky has announced candidate debates for governor and secretary of state for the fall 2023 elections. Local Leagues are co-sponsoring these events on behalf of the League of Women Voters of Kentucky.
“Candidate Forums offer voters a valuable opportunity to learn how candidates plan to handle the job they seek,” said Kentucky League President Jennifer A. Jackson. “As voters, it is important to remember that running for public office is really a job interview process; voters are tasked to evaluate the qualifications and the ideas the candidates bring to the table for that specific job. Candidate forums and our nonpartisan Vote411.org voter guide are key resources to learn about candidates when trying to make those decisions. We appreciate each candidate’s open and honest participation, as it helps Kentucky’s voters make informed choices.”
