The Humane Society of Henderson County says they are in a Code Red.
The shelter is full. The Humane Society posted on Facebook that this means the shelter will be making some difficult decisions in the next few days.
If there is a dog that you are interested in, the shelter said now would be the time to put in an application. Or to consider fostering.
Adoption or fostering would help save an animal’s life.
The Humane Society of Henderson County is open from noon until 6 p.m. Monday through Fridays and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. The shelter is located at 203 Drury Lane in Henderson.
Adoptable pets may also be viewed on their website at hshcky.org.
